General Mulligans
Gift of the Naaru provides healing and cycles through your deck. The Light! It Burns! will deal with powerful early game threats (and is particularly good at dealing with turn 3 10-drops from evolve shaman). Trading Amulet of Undying is just something you can do with the turn 1 mana you'll typically just float anyways, and it will help you significantly later in the game. Cathedral of Atonement is key in virtually every matchup- not only does it provide you with consistent draws throughout the game, it sets up high value plays with many of your removal cards and lifesteal minions. Xyrella is a cheap board clear, which you'll find to be extremely important in this current meta.
IMPORTANT: THIS DECK HAS BEEN CREATED TO COUNTER THE CURRENT FAST-PACED META OF FROST AND UNHOLY DEATH KNIGHTS. YOU WILL NOT WIN AGAINST OTHER CONTROL DECKS.
At first, this deck may look like a downgrade from the past control priest builds- after all, staple cards like Prince Renathal and Plaguespreader have been rmeoved. However, in this current aggro meta, those cards do very little to keep you alive. This deck focuses hard on board control and healing, and includes the new card Cannibalize which is very good at doing both. Your game plan is to control your opponent until they’ve exhausted their resources and you can overwhelm them with an infinite army of Mi'da, Pure Lights.
