Love using Moroes. From Wild Addler to Knife Juggler, he can help you in many combos and peel off divine shield.
This is basically a very slow onyxia. It could help in zoolock with darkshire councilman or evolve shaman. I’m indifferent but I think it’s getting more hate than it deserves. Even if you don’t like it it’s at least 400 dust.
Moroes is a really good card. i´m playing it into a Aggro Druid deck and it works very good. it has a good sinergy with power of the wild. maybe it dont has good stats, but at least works.
I am personally playing this card and he is amazing. It is hard to move and constant swarms build up and distrcat from big threats. In my opinion should be rated 4. Let me know what u think. Overall bought the whole expansion and am loving the cards and the storyline.
Played with any sort of health buff, this is a free paladin hero power every turn, aka infinite value. Its not great, but it shouldn’t be rated as low as it is.
If you buff Moroes (say with mark of y’shaarj or power word shield) it becomes a powerhouse though.
I think 1-1 stealth minions just aren’t able to stick on the board very well… especially not with Whirlwind, Fan of the Knives, all the decks running Pyromancer, etc.
I feel like this card is even worse than imp master, which never sees play. I mean it does have synergy with steward, but overall, I think this is a disappointing legendary.
It’d be cool if he had something like:”at the end of the turn, kill and summon this minion ” or something
Does the Stewards have any special power?
I would have preferred to see the old version of Moroes and maybe summon his 4 partners in the WOW boss encounter. However it’s funny to see him in a human-version, like the film.
No, they are just vanilla 1/1s.
Intresting card. against warrior, mage and rogue it looks useless, but for druid, hunter, zoo is unkillable and sooner or later you gain value from it.
Are you sure about druid? They run swipe quite often, you know.
i think the tokens should have stealth
Do we know what the stewards do? Are they just vanilla 1/1’s or is there an effect? Are their multiple stewards it can summon?
I imagine they’re vanilla 1/1s but it hasn’t been confirmed.
Would have been better if it was a 2/2. 1 health dies to so many board wipes.
At a glance, it looks bad. But I think it has SOME potential. Zoo might like it because it does a great job of triggering Darkshire Councilman and Knife Juggler (As well as being Sea Giant Fuel), and it might help revitalize the Divine Shield Paladin by comboing with Steward of Darkshire. The card is at least worth testing.
infinite value like dread steed
Its a basically a shade of naxxramas that gains 1/1 each turn, but as a separate body. I think this card has a lot of potential, especially in something like zoo. It combos very well with stuff like knife juggler and darkshire councilman, as well as steward of darkshire. It is annoying to deal with too because it can get out of hand quick if not dealt with early. The stealth is what helps this card a lot. With stealth, it can be used for a power overwhelming target when needed. It just needs to stick around for 2 turns until it gains value (the turn played and the turn after and then it would be 3/3 for 3 mana). Even if it dies the turn after, the opponent most likely had to use AoE to get rid of it because of the stealth.
The initial cards were looking so good, but there are bound to be bad cards :/ Unfortunate it is a legendary thats bad. Honestly that effect isnt even cool at all, so it shouldn’t be on a legendary. All of the LoE legendaries had cool effects, and same with the first 2 revealed from Karazhan.
Why blizzard
This just seems like an awful card. Awful stats on top of the fact that It has to stay on the field 3 turns in order to get any sort of value. The only decks that it’s even remotely viable in are Zoolock and Aggro Paladin (Steward and Councilman of Darkshire synergy), but even then I’m fairly sure it costs so much that the mana inefficiency negates any value you would get from it. I might be wrong, but it seems like somewhat of a disappointment compared to the unique and powerful effects of the other 2 legendaries.
Hard to see this sticking to the board for long against pretty much anything.
I agree most likely won’t see much play. maybe in druid decks with aoe buffs
yeah you play him on 3/4 and he just walks into every AOE spell in HS. not to mention crap like Arcane Missiles/Flamewaker
All i see is steward of Darkshire helper combo.
Resembles that Tavern where tinyfins apear each turn, could be a problem on the long run, but with that 1/1 body I don’t think Moroes won’t last long. Also a legend, so yeah…
Oops double neg.
