Mulligans

General Mulligans

  • Wildpaw cavern, if you have the coin or against slower decks
  • frostbite, good to keep, slowing down spell-based decks and aggro
  • scalding geyser, good to keep, for damage or cycling
  • maelstrom portal, keep to enable multicaster or clear board with help from other cards
  • windchill, good to keep, slowing down aggro deck and provide cycling in control

Control Mulligans

  • queen azshara, good to keep against control, enable 1 cost colossal minion
  • school teacher, good to keep to all-rounded situation
  • wildpaw cavern, keep putting pressure on board
  • frostbite, good to keep to slow down spell-based decks (such as druid ramping)

Evolved from the original control shaman created by SnowKiss (Asia region), this deck focus on killing your opponent by burning the life total via key cards like Lightning BoltScalding Geyser, and Frostbite with Bioluminescence buffed boards.

Some interesting ideas are

  • Against Druid, when you frozen the board with Snowfall Guardian, Bioluminescence (might need two) + Maelstrom Portal can generally clear the their taunt for your “big” snowfall guardian to hit face.
  • Against slower control decks (like Paladin), 1 cost colossal minion generated by the relic from Queen Azshara, will enable a good burst combo with Bioluminescence and damage spells.
  • Against fast/aggro decks (like questline pirate warrior), use damage cards wisely to retain your life total, since your only potential healing are Bru'kan of the Elements and School Teacher if Tidal Surge can be discovered.
  • Wildpaw Cavern is almost must keep if you have the coin, and against fast desks. It becomes optional if you are facing a slower deck or combo deck, but it is also good to burn some opponent life off with 3/4s.
  • Version 1.0: Rustrot Viper instead a second copy of Multicaster, disable Immovable Object in paladin, and temporarily slow down warrior with less damage taken from Defias Cannoneer and Pufferfist. Plus Multicaster  is pretty hard to enable with limited spell school types.

I started playing this deck when I was ranked 5 zero stars in the American region, able to hit legend with a 75% win rate on 21 wins to 7 losses. See my result here: HSREPLAY Deck Status, have fun with this deck and thanks!
