(Updated) Patch 22.2 Hotfixes – Shadowcasting 101 in Duels Moved To Pool 2 (Ultra Rare), Training Grounds, 1k Wins Portraits

It’s been only a couple of days after the patch, but Shadowcasting 101 treasure was already dominating the Duels game mode. It was way to common for treasure with such a high power level. But if you like to play that mode, we have some good news – the treasure was already moved to Pool 2 (Ultra Rare). While you will still encounter it more than you should (because people who already drafted it will still have it in their deck), the situation should be getting progressively better.

On top of that, we got hotfixes for some Duels spells that were treated as Battlecries and Druid’s Questline + Wildheart Guff bugged interaction.

1/26 Hotfix: We are in the process of rolling out a hotfix that will: 1) correct some Duels spells that were improperly treated like Battlecry effects; 2) prevent an interaction that caused some game crashes in Battlegrounds; and 3) will complete the Guff-Questline bug fix that was partially hotfixed yesterday. These three fixes are further documented above. In this hotfix, we will also move the Duels Treasure Shadowcasting 101 from Pool 1 to Pool 2 Ultra Rare.

We will continue to monitor the patch launch and update this post when we have more information.

Update:

Another hotfix was just released – this time it fixed Mercs stuck in Training Grounds, Dust refund period for the cards nerfed in 22.2 (it’s supposed to be 2 weeks but it was cut short by mistake) and 1k wins portraits.

Read more:

1/27 Hotfix: We are in the process of rolling out a hotfix that will: 1) allow players who placed a Merc they don’t own in the Training Grounds to exit to the main menu or restart their client in order to reset the Training Grounds; and 2) re-instate the full Dust refund period for eligible cards that were changed in Patch 22.2. Please confirm dust values before disenchanting any cards, to make sure that the hotfix has been rolled out in your region.

Earlier today, in a separate update, we also addressed the missing 1000-win Portraits. That update should be completing soon.

Players: “And I’m getting free dust out of nowhere”
Blizzard: “That’s not good, we will revert the dust immediately”

Players: “Great! Achievements bugs too please! It’s been two months.”

    While we’re on the topic…

I like mercs but could they please review the tasks calculations. Just finished the Grom deathblow task (13?). Which means to me you kill something with his left most ability and active deathblow: gain X attack.

The task doesn’t count critical kills but counts NPCs killing themselves on Grom. Ok.

Currently I have a Jax task to cast fist of Jax 45 times. Of course it doesn’t count when fists autocasts of the left ability or any of the subsequent casts for additional demons on the board. No instead, the task is click fists of Jax 45 times. Not very clever imo.

I could go on and on with examples.

But hey – a way to earn xp passively- needed that.
