Mulligans
This is my anti-paladin deck that performs very well for that
purpose!
This deck tries to maximize the number of Devolving Missiles and Hexes,
so I filled the deck with as many Discover Spell cards as possible.
With the core set being introduced, the number of spells in standard has
decreased for shaman, making it HIGHLY likely you will find exactly the
spell you need every time. The deck also includes Ysera for its sap spell, and Yogg-Saron since you’ll easily be able to meet his requirement.
The real gems of this deck are actually Steward of Scrolls and Primordial Studies. Again, with the decreased number of spell damage minions in the pool, you are HIGHLY likely to find Steward of Scrolls with Primordial Studies. I’ve actually looped through multiple copies of each of these cards in a single match.
With the above loop, and all the other ways to get the loop started (Wandmaker and Guidance),
there were very few moments where I did not have a full hand of cards.
This deck plays almost like a control priest deck, so if you enjoy that
style of play you’ll also enjoy this deck.
Possible changes:
Groundskeeper: I found that I need extra healing against hunter and mage, so I added
this minion. The only problem is that at the moment, Shaman only has 2
spell cards that will activate her, and I only included one of them in
this deck. You can discover one of those cards off a minion, but you
generally want her to be ready to go, without the added setup. I might
replace her with Death’s Head Cultist. Then, I could also swap the Hex for Kazakus.
