Last week we’ve learned about the upcoming weeks. Reveal season starts on March 16 (two days from now) and goes on for only 6 days, until March 22. After that we get a patch 20.0 with all the nerf reverts, Classic format etc. Then on March 30, Forged in the Barrens expansion releases and Standard rotation happens. Yep, the next few weeks will be full of exciting stuff. In particular, I’m really curious how the short meta between Patch 20.0 and expansion release will look like. Some of the really powerful cards will be available in their original form. For example – 2 mana Starving Buzzard, original Galakrond Shaman package, Charge that actually gives minion Charge etc. You can find all of those unnerfs here – (Druid, Hunter, Mage), (Paladin, Priest, Rogue), (Shaman, Warlock, Warrior), (Neutral).
As for the current meta… well, actually, we had some slight shifts recently. Of all the cards in Hearthstone, Ogremancer has started to become popular and it sort of brought back some Highlander decks. Like, Highladner Mage is now one of the better ladder decks (of course, it wasn’t BAD before, but it made people play and optimize it again). Ogremancer turned out to be amazing against most of the currently popular decks. Rogue has a lot of trouble taking it down without using spells, and when they use spells, a bunch of 2/2 Taunts happen (which isn’t fun). It also makes things awkward for other popular decks such as Libram Paladin or Token Druid. All in all, there is no popular matchup where the card is bad. Yeah, such discoveries are always fun.
Right now we’re in the middle of Master Tour Ironforge finals. I’ll be posting Top 8 deck lists later today, so if you don’t like anything below, you might find some interesting builds there. Also remember that next week will be our last deck compilation for Darkmoon Faire – after that we’ll first focus on the short Patch 20.0 meta, and then the new expansion.
Below, you will find a full list of the Legend decks from last week, sorted by the highest placement.
