It’s a bit early to be taking a look at the best Standard decks from the new expansion, but some decks have already started to make their way to the top of the heap. This list is very likely to change, and is just a first look at what the meta could be potentially shaping to become in the next few weeks.

Best Standard Druid Decks
C’Thun Druid is feeling like it’s going to be a strong option for people who enjoy the Druid class. The deck has a strong curve, and allows you to get access to your late game minions faster with its various ramping options. The exact deck list is still being ironed out, but once it comes together it should be a strong option for players.
Sjow had a pretty impressive run with this Beast/Midrange Druid list going 37-16 on stream. Fandral Staghelm seems to be a strong card in this list, and Savage Combatant has finally been given its time to shine!
Best Standard Hunter Decks
Face Hunter is a definite option for Hunter lovers everywhere. Purple employs the use of a surprise card in On the Hunt, which can do damage and act as a cheap Kill Command activator.
Best Standard Mage Decks
There might be a C’Thun Mage list floating out there that’s good, but right now a version of Tempo Mage with Yogg-Saron, Hope's End is the best of the new lists. The deck has a strong core, and Yogg-Saron should really only be looked at as a play if you’re behind because it’s likely going to mess your board up as much as it does to them! Yogg-Saron will also likely be cut from the competitive version of this list.
Here’s a look at what could be the Standard Freeze Mage list. The deck even runs without Archmage Antonidas in its current form. Freeze Mage will likely be the strongest Mage deck in the meta going forward.

Best Standard Paladin Decks
This was the most surprising deck list to me. I knew a healing Paladin would be a potential deck, but I didn’t quite think it would come together like this. The deck focuses on Deathrattle synergy, and finishing with N'Zoth, The Corruptor. N’Zoth almost acts like a Anyfin Can Happen, but without the OTK possibility. Forbidden Healing is an all-star in this deck, it acts as a more expensive Reno Jackson, but allows you the consistency of duplicate cards.
There seems to be a strong Aggro Paladin list lurking in the background waiting to be unleashed on the masses. The deck will likely revolve around Divine Shield, Selfless Hero, and Rallying Blade. The thing that’s left to be determined is whether or not it will revolve around Murlocs or not. TwoBiers’ deck list goes with Murlocs and seeks to flood the board and use big minions like Frostwolf Warlord and Sea Giant to finish the game.
Best Standard Priest Decks
The Standard Control Priest doesn’t look a whole lot different then the previous versions, although now they’ve lost some very strong tools that allowed them to compete with most decks. I’m curious how strong a C’Thun version of Priest will be, but right now this seems like the best deck for the class.
Best Standard Rogue Decks
Miracle Rogue has come back with a vengeance and is doing quite well on the ladder. Amaz even finished top-25 during Season 25 with this list!
Deathrattle Rogue was kind of a fringe deck list before Standard so it didn’t take much to make it better. N'Zoth, The Corruptor and Shadowcaster are solid cards in this Rogue list.
Best Standard Shaman Decks
Aggro/Midrange Shaman got a lot of strong cards, and can quickly snowball the board if it starts landing all of its cards right on curve. You get a ton of value out of Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, and Tuskarr Totemic. It remains to be seen whether a card like Evolve fits in this list or not.
Aggro Shaman was very strong before Standard hit and didn’t lose much once it did. The deck has also gained a new powerful piece with Flamewreathed Faceless.
Best Standard Warlock Decks
It’s not too unexpected to see Warlock Zoo appearing in a best of deck list, I think the thing that’s a bit surprising is that Darkshire Councilman is popping up in every list. The card didn’t have a ton of hype before the expansion and kind of got lost in the card dump that happened before the release. It’s a very strong card, and synergizes well with Forbidden Ritual, Imp Gang Boss, and Possessed Villager.
Reno Warlock helped Prelude win a tournament, and Thijs was able to go on a nice little 30-7 run with this C’Thun Reno Warlock. I think it’s going to be safe to say that some version of Reno Warlock will maintain a spot on the ladder in the weeks to come.
Best Standard Warrior Decks
Patron Warrior’s demise was once again staved off by some new cards from the expansion. Ravaging Ghoul and Blood To Ichor fit the deck quite nicely. A bit of a surprise card that has been showing up in some lists is Bloodhoof Brave. The card looks innocent enough, but hitting it with a Whirlwind or Blood To Ichor makes it a tough card to deal with.
It still remains to be seen whether or not C’Thun Warrior is a thing, but this list has been strong so far.
One thing that will seemingly always remain is Control Warrior. The deck just adds new legendaries and moves on!

My concern is shaman. Everyone knew face shammy is gonna be a thing, bur where are all the control style shamans. Hallazeal destruction resets, maasive control style shaman with all the health from healing wave and hallazeal. Twilight hammer instead of doomhammer to gain board control, or even a charged hammer type a thing.
Has anyone seen yet a deck like that? I ve stored up to 8300 dust for the expansion to craft whatever epics or legies i need for a new control deck, not warrior cuz i m tired of it.
Any suggestions?
I would suggest u NOT to try control shaman due to the meta. Face shaman is way better, trust me.
I would suggest N’Zoth Paladin.
Is Dragon Priest going to be good in standard?

I’ll be keeping an eye out for any strong Priest decks.
My two cents on this: N’zoth and Herald seem to be relatively strong cards, as is embrace the shadows, i had quite some succes with those cards in standard. Wild is still as bas as it ever was, but with some good value cards like sylvanas, ysera or ragnaros, combined with beforementioned cards and some midrange deathrattle minions i found good succes, it’s easier to split the decklists though (N’zoth + DR / Herald + 1/1 rag/sylv/Ysera value) C’thun is as slow as any priest deck in the old metas and doesn’t offer any real big minions as for example warrior and druid get from c’thun. It does have a good sustain for priests even, but the priority on sustain and early game safety is low for priests, considering how slow standard games are in WotOG. Amaz played around with spell damage decks with herald and velen and holyfire/embrace the shadows/mind blast. it looked fun, maybe not too competitive, but worth a try all the same. Dragon priest is getting outpaced by c’thun decks imo, but deathwing can get you some exciting moments for sure. Control priests is better than it used to be because of the lower amount of aggro decks, but needs some retweeking due to the loss of cards like lightbomb and shrinkmeister. hope this helps a bit. good luck.

Yep, no good priest decks. Control priest: get killed by otk c thun. Dragon priest: get rekt by control warrior/freeze mage.
I disagree with the hunter stuff, Midrange is extremely strong with Call of the Wild and Infested wolf plus the usual shenanigans.
I agree. I have been piloting a midrange Hunter deck alongside a C’Thun Druid and have had a pretty positive win rate. Carrion grub/hound master is a pretty good combo early, and infested wolf works pretty well too. I would recommend giving it a shot.
