Mulligans
Experimental Maly deck. Main concept is to discount either Maly or Kael’thas via the satyr, bringing their total costs to 10. Note: the satyr discounts minions before you draw for your turn, so it is easier to plan out than expected.
Main win condition:
Play Maly and Kael’thas for 10, play two 0-cost spells to get a free germination on Maly, then play both moonfires and a free swipe for 11+11+14 = 36 damage.
Other win conditions:
– Just by having two Malygos, one with taunt, sometimes the opponent can’t answer both and you win the next turn with all the card draw.
– A 4-cost Malygos, two innervate, germination, and then swipe/moon/moon (no Kael’thas required)
– Jepetto Joybuzz to bypass the satyr. But even if you draw a satyr, chances are you already have Kael’thas or Maly in hand anyway so you still get the discount.
My biggest issue so far is that the OTK combo requires 8 cards in hand, two of which have to be 0-cost and not moonfire. Sometimes I get to the combo but then I can’t get my free swipe, or only have one moonfire 🙁
With all the card draw, I may play with adding Zephrys or Elise, though Idk how that would play out.
Lessons learned include:
– (2) overflow mills more often than not
– rising winds is good for card draw early, but not great if your hand is already full late game due to twinspell effect.
Interesting deck, how has it worked for you?
