Mulligans

Aggro Mulligans

When you are in just about any, matchup you will want to try to get this guy out, so you can get a control oriented hero power. Your priorities are priest, warrior or sometimes warlock. Never take the Hunter power.

Combo Mulligans

This is the basic combo your going to be trying to pull off. When you play xaril, try to go for the +2 attack toxin or the stealth one. After that you can play nightmare, cold blood it twice and conceal so that next turn you have a 20/8 or 24/8 (if you got the right toxin)

Hey you, yeah you. Do you like dragon priest? What about Otks? If that fits in your wheelhouse then welcome to my dragon rogue deck.

Many would say that rogue has absolutely no business with dragons, seeing as it has no real synergies. These people could not be more wrong. With the new release of the card Scaled Nightmare rouge could potentially be one of the best dragon wielders in the game.

Our deck here has plenty of removal to survive until you feel your ready to kill you foes. It even has Sir Finley Mrrgglton to get a more control oriented hero power, seeing as this deck has no real uses for weapons.

Emperor Thaurisian might be worth playing in this deck to keep your combos running. Maybe instead of a Tomb Pillager or Azure Drake?

Additionally, what is the purpose of Preparation? You only have one spell that costs 3 mana. Shadowstep might be more useful here for synergy with your other battlecries.

Emperor Thaurissan is for combo decks that require more than 10 mana to be used in a single turn, or when you have many cards to combo with (freeze mage). This deck uses a 2-3 card combo that costs less than 10 mana on its own, so Emperor would just be clunky. Also, Azure Drakes are way too good in Rogue to cut.

Preparation, is in my opinion, Rogue’s best card, and should be run at 2 in every competitive Rogue deck. It can let you do the combo a turn earlier, get out a free sap or fan of knives, or play a 4 mana sprint, which is commonly the best option. If you feel that the Preps are lacking, instead of cutting them you should see if you can add in another Fan of Knives for example.

Also, Shadowstep doesn’t really have a place in this deck, as it should only be run when you have really powerful battlecries you want to take advantage of, like Coldlight Oracle in mill rogue.

Thanks for the advice! I have removed assassinate and the two blackwing cards for tomb pillagers and sap. I personally think that since your aiming to get a defensive hero power and the deck has so much removal, heals might not be as necessary, so I have left the earthen rings out for now. Also I have replaced nefarian with ysera, because ysera has the +5/5 bonus card and more removal spells like ysera awakens

Rouge is a french word meaning red… the word you’re looking for is Rogue.

I really like the idea of giving Scaled Nightmare stealth and attack boosts, so props to that. Twilight Guardian serves as a strong taunt against aggro decks, and Azure Drake is a great Rogue card in general, so I fully support that dragon package. The rest of the dragon support seems out of place though, since the goal is to smack your opponent with a fat scaled nightmare, the other dragon support don’t really help you do that.

Instead of the 4 other dragon support cards, I think that Tomb Pillagers and Earthen Ring Farseers should be used. The coin obtained from pillager lets you drop a stealth Scaled Nightmare one turn faster, and the farseers help you survive till you can get a combo going.

Also, -1 Assassinate +1 Sap for sure, because Assassinate costs too much for what it does.
