Hammer of Twilight a Shaman Epic Weapon is the latest reveal from the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion! Card was revealed via MardukTV on Twitch.
You can compare this weapon to Death's Bite and Truesilver Champion, but they are 1-mana less which is pretty significant. It would potentially be replacing Doomhammer, and for all we know Doomhammer might see a nerf (Aggro Shaman in its current form will be insane once Standard hits). A 4/2 minion is not super valuable because it dies to virtually all AOE and 1 – 2 drop minions. Shaman’s 5-drops are okay, but if the meta slows down you’ll likely see an increase of Thunder Bluff Valiant (which is basically a 7-drop). Azure Drake also occupies the 5-mana slot and is one of the only reliable draws in Midrange Shaman. I guess I could see this card in a more control based Shaman list, and that list would probably contain the new Shaman legendary Hallazeal the Ascended.
