Saviors of Uldum is our for just ~3 weeks now, and we’re already preparing for the first nerf patch. While it’s not a record (Rastakhan’s Rumble still holds that with a nerf patch 15 days after launch), but it’s pretty close. Five cards are going to get nerfed on Monday (one of which is Wild – it’s not common that they decide to do something about the other format, but it’s a welcome change). Still, since the nerfs aren’t live yet, you can play the decks below for the next ~24 hours. The pre-nerfs meta was mostly stable already. Control Warrior, Highlander Mage, Highlander Hunter and Combo Priest were probably the four strongest decks – and it shows. Three of those decks are getting nerfed, which might mean that the last one – Hunter – will start dominating. Or maybe not, nerf patches are always tricky, because nerfing most popular deck doesn’t mean that the second most popular takes over. The meta might look completely different, or it might be the same, just with the few strongest decks falling from Tier 1 to Tier 2. We’ll see in a few days!
