Excellent tech card vs. secrets. Statline is such that you can just curve this as a regular 4-drop in your deck, while punishing secrets when they come up. 4/5

its a bad card on 4 mana slot.

it destroys 1 single secret. Eater of Secret was a good card, 4 Mana 2/4 but it destroys EVERY secret and gets +1/+1for every secret it destroys.

I’d argue Eater of Secrets is worse; there are only 3 classes that regularly run secrets so in most games Eater of Secrets was a 4 mana 2/4 – which is complete trash.

At least this has a reasonable stat-line so it’s not a dead-loss against decks that don’t run secrets. I’d still run Kezan Mystic in Wild though.

Makes sense to introduce an evergreen anti-Secret tech. You can only print so many before they start to feel same-y.

This card might only be run in specialist, or secret-heavy metas. But it’s a good card to have around.

Idk why this is rated so low, it’s a good statline with a fantastic tech against secret decks. It’s also evergreen while being a similar powerlevel to Golakka and the like. This card will be a constant part of the meta I think, as tech against secret decks.

Kethcup: I think because they’re comparing it against previous cards like Eater of Secrets and Flare. The former not only punishes your opponent but gives you a nice payoff, and the latter is cheap and cycles so you don’t feel too bad if your opponent is playing any secrets.

I agree that a 5/4 for 4 mana isn’t bad; however I don’t think its going to see any widespread play unless either 1.) secret decks become at least 33% of the meta, or 2.) there’s a specific new deck that can easily cycle but really hates secrets. Otherwise, you’d probably prefer to draw a card that either synergizes with your own win strategy or which has impact against more meta decks.
