Fifth (and last) chapter of Rise of Shadows’ solo adventure “The Dalaran Heist” has just launched! In the final week, we will visit the heavily guarded Kirin Tor Citadel, with a new Twist – instead of the eight usual encounters, this chapter will be longer, featuring twelve bosses in total. Which means that you should prepare for a longer game and think even further into your run than you usually would when it comes to synergies, picked treasures etc.
Two new Heroes are also available for anyone who purchased this Chapter – Warlock and Paladin. Learn more about them below:
Warlock – Tekahn
Hero Powers
- Life Tap (2 mana) – Draw a card and take 2 damage.
- Pain Split (2 mana) – Take 2 damage. Deal 2 damage.
- The Pact (2 mana) – Take 2 damage. Summon a 2/2 Imp.
Starter Decks
- Sacrificial – Self-damage + Deathrattles.
- Seeker – Card generation.
- Imp-ressive – Imp + Demon synergies.
Paladin – Karl
Hero Powers
- Reinforce (2 mana) – Summon a 1/1 Silver Hand Recruit.
- Backup (2 mana) – Add three 1/1 Silver Hand Recruits to your hand.
- Boon of Light (2 mana) – Give a friendly minion Divine Shield.
Starter Decks
- Old Hero – Divine Shields + synergies.
- Adventure – Buffs + synergies.
- Holy Flames – Secrets + Dragons.
I think they are using the adventure to test the reactions and the use (and abuse) of these hero powers for future uses.
I mean, so far many of them seem quite balanced, while others seem OP (like the mage one that discount 2mana to a card in your hand for example), I would not be that surprised if next year we see some of the more balanced ones appear in standard in some way or the other.
