Force of Nature Additional Information

  1. Force of Nature was changed from 6 Mana to 5 Mana and now reads “Summon three 2/2 Treants.” The card previously read, “Summon three 2/2 Treants with Charge that die at the end of the turn.” This change was made when the Standard Format was released on April 26th, 2016. [Source]
  2. “The new version of Force of Nature lowers its mana cost by 1, but removes Charge and makes the summoned Treants permanent—like the other Treants that Druids summon. This change also removes the powerful one-turn combo of Force of Nature and Savage Roar. Now, opponents will have a chance to deal with the threat that the Treants represent, and it won’t feel mandatory to always include the combo.” [Source]

Actually this isn’t that bad. Might be ok…. 6/6 for 5 mana.

This is a good nerf. This game have no way to respond in the opponent turn, so make a way to win in a turn and the opponent can do nothing is unfair. and is not fun at all. This way the card is still playable, of course now it looks like trash , but in a couple of week it will take some place in decks. i’m surprised that no nerf is no alextraza, so the warrior can still kill you at full life in an attack from a clean board….

First of all rip all old combo decks. I mean all old combo deck. Except the stupid frost giant+charge warrior. They nerfed them all… rip combo rogue as now you cannot maligos+blade flurry, rip otk warlock (maybe leeroy+faceless is still a thing, but a bit expensive). And rip combo druid. Force has no charge, no shreder, no shade, crapy keeper..

And in fact I was a big fan of OTK since I started playing and made my first otk priest deck. the feeling was so good to collect the combo pieces and make that huge turn. The new combo decks will not feel the same as they are sooo slow and rng based. Oh my God.we Will see arena like decks in Cthun and Nzoth , and lots of casino mages with Yog. FeelsBadMan

This card would have been really interesting had they given the treants taunt. Suddenly, it becomes an interesting replacement for Sludge Belcher. As is, this thing is trash.

Not really, it might see play in Token Druid.

“Force of Nature” + “Soul of the Forest” might be the new combo ;p

Lol, not even Token Druid runs Soul of the Forest right now. I certainly don’t think that “combo” is good. It’s super slow.

I suppose “Trash” is a little harsh. Theoretically, it’s still 6/6 in stats for 5, but it’s broken up in such a way that it’s susceptible to most board wipes and makes the card dirt slow.

Personally I would rather have seen savage roar nerfed. I never seen FoN as the problem, although there may be some sort of card being released in the old gods expansion that could exploit it. I still think that the root of the problem of the druid combo is savage roar.
