We're probably passing Turn 1 100% of the time as first player, but looking to make sure we have a good Turn 2 play, usually Mana Wyrm, Magic Dart Frog or Sorcerer's Apprentice. We usually want to be playing Arcane Intellect on Turn 3. Arcane Missiles is a good card when we have the Coin depending on the matchup, and also makes for a good Turn 3 play in conjunction with Magic Dart Frog or our hero power.I think there’s a lot of potential for a Small Spell Mage with the cards added to the current set, but there are some problems. With the nerf to Mana Wyrm and with Arcane Artificer rotating out, there’s a lack of a good turn 1 play. There is also a lack of a clear win condition outside of making a gigantic Questing Adventurer, and we don’t want to put all our eggs in that basket. I thought about including Archmage Antonidas, but I worry that if the game goes long enough to make good use of him, we’ve already lost.
