Da Undataka with this and Deranged Doctor?
Or is the death rattle just go dormant?
Its just going dormant, reviving is a whole different effect
Damn I had hope. Thanks!
YEAR OF THE DRUID 2019 hahahahahaha
Looks like Druid has some great cards this year!
I’m betting on Druid decks in HCT Worlds and WCG 2019…
The card text says Restore 5 health to awaken. Do we need to restore all 5 health at once (similar to getting activations from Sherazin or Dragon Soul)? Or can we restore 5 health over time (like powering up some of the spell stones)?
Semms like all the druid cards that were released were all from the heal archetype. both legendary minions synergyze with themselfs. The archetype is like nothing we have seen so far. Paladin’s heal specs were totally crap. Priest never had great healing cards becaouse of auchenai soul priest you never had the good heal cards. Shaman had the best heal spells in the game but he kind of struggled with control anyway. And druid never had the need for heal cards. With last years spellstones armor druid was the best way to heal. Those cards give amazing value and while sherazin was not that good legendary. The main reason for it to be bad was that its stats were very low.
This card has even more ways to revive than sherazin. You can achieve it from a single card. Some lifesteal cards can trigger this multiple times. And it is not restricted to one turn. So you are not burning 3 cards for it and you can heal for 2 than the next turn for 3 and you wil lstill get this. It is a taunt minion so it can be very annoying for aggro. Do not forget that healing yourself is enough of a counter if you are againts agrro or the like of burn mage.
Yes it is a bit like the lanadin legendary weapon where one silence will ruin your value. Copying this is not enough value to win you the game after all mass dispell is still in the game. But it is just a descent value card. You win condidtion is value so you will most likely want fat cards like splintergraft. And maybe even duskfallen aviana. If you deck has more value than your oponents aviana can give you value although not very muc hrecommended. Splintergraft is much better you may spash in some yseras or maybe dragoncallers i am not shure what your gamecloser will be.
But you do not win the game just by healing your face or having a constant 4 attack minion. You will want some gameclosing mechanic. And this is where divercity come for the archetype. I think we will be seing interesting things from druid while the meta settles.
Funny thing to mention is that crystalsong forest didn’t have that much quest while wrath was on your quests were more connected with dalaran. And the place does have lore signifficance. It is very nice that we are not seing just a forest full of glowing trees and dryads. But dalaran is a long way from crystalsong forest these days. Who knows maybe we can get a Plot hole card just to make the story more interesting,
Lucentbark is not the power play a Healing Druid deck would need to extend past being a heavily splashable set for four cards (two Crystal Power, and two Crystalstag).
A 4/8 taunt for eight really isn’t good, and the number of times this can reasonably be brought back is once, maybe twice, in a game.
Heal Druid probably will not be a deck in it of itself with a boss minion as relatively weak as this.
As a Druid Main, i’m going find a way to abuse this, but a few facts i need throw out
We can Force draw this with Juicy Pschmelon
We have kinda a Awkward Ramping that Ramps the opponent That’s better then the normal Ramp
As some People Mention You could “Clone” this/Copy it But Remember if you fill your board with this minion you get screw over by now heals.
List of Card that can heal Druid Beside the new spell.
Healing Touch – heals 8
Ancient of Lore – draw/5 heal
Voodoo Doctor – heal 2 (missing 3)
Earthen Ring Farseer= restore 3 health (missing 2)
Regeneratin’ Thug – it heals itself and behind taunt this can be pretty useful
Rotten Applebaum – heals 4 health (missing 1)
Priestess of Elune – Battle Cry Heal your hero for 4
Deranged Doctor – deathrattle heals your hero for 8
So with all the card above that deck is 16 as of right now with no new cards added that can just heal Druid.
Now let’s look into support cards for this
Crystallizer – deal 5 damage to yourself get 5 armor
Baleful Banker – Send card back into deck to draw/heal more (I think this might become combo with Ancient of Lore)
Augmented Elekk – Suffle dupes into the deck
Faceless Manipulator – become a other copy of a minion
Flobbidinous floop – copy of last card you play
Gloop Sprayer -battlecry Clone 2 minions next to it
Splintergraft – make a 10/10 copy and add it to your hand
All lifesteal minions also
So it might be possible with all the support and current card we DO have, but also remember there a few card that are also ready to counter this
Shieldbreaker – silence a Taunt minion
Ironbark Owl – silence a Minion
Spellbreaker – silence a minion
The Black Knight – Destroy a Taunt
(not including Class card that Silence/kill things)
So While everything look good on paper, in play it might be nearly useless unless you have the perfect hand and enough damage to yourself to heal back up…
I’m actually wondering what my Druid Battlecry going be , cause clearly there a new Adept in the pool
also that no1 talking about – It says Restore 5 health , it doesn’t say just YOU, so does that mean if the opponent heals could it come back alive on their turn?
here aer some new heal cards you forot to include.
Darkscale healer.
Zilliax
traveling healer
earthern ring farseer
Healing touch
Pumpking peasant
vischioscale chuppacabra
Anclebiter
You aren’t smart cause I said “All lifesteal minions also” – you didn’t read everything mate get back in line.
if this is the boss for the playstyle its pretty bad
versus priest might as well surrender at start.
mage and shaman can easily remove it
any class using neutral silences can.
how to balance it, id say raise cost to 10 and give it effect only you can target this card with spells or effects.
maybe lower its stats slightly since no way to get rid of it for sure then.
maybe 3/8
We still have Faceless Manipulator so I guess if it’s good enough, you don’t care much about Hex and the rest
I can’t wait to scheme and shadow priest this card as a priest lol
8 mana?? lol
For a small payment of 8 Mana you get a gift that keeps on giving. And is you craft right now we’ll even through in a flubburios flupe to double your value! But that’s not, gloop sprayer both copy’s to quadruple your value!
Taunt is what makes this card shine. I can choose not to revive this minion until the time is right by just holding my heal cards. 4/5
Wait a Minute. Does Lifesteal count?
Yes, it most certainly does.
IIIIINNNNNNTeressttinng…! *evil finger tapping*
This card reminds me of the Rogue Legendary. Instead of playing cards to reactivate it, you restore health instead. Not too shabby.
Synergy with nzoth and hadronox.
Bye-Bye armor…
pretty much
well, at least, its easy to steal it for priest and ofc silence works also as well if this will be a thing in meta
why did druid and paladin become a better Heal Class than Priest !?
i dont get it
I’m still a bit skeptical about this whole heal Druid thing. A regenerating taunt is ok I guess. Will be vulnerable to Sap and Hex and the like, but that’s true of any big taunt with a Deathrattle.
Whelp I’m thinking of a big resto druid deck with this maybe a big beast druid with some resto. Lucentbark, Floop, Gloop, Dreampetal, Jepetto, Tyrantus. I think you get the idea if don’t Jepetto 1/1 are deadly Floop just needs to make copy of Lucentbark through Gloop or after Lucent. Gloop would be dropped to clone Tyrantus or Lucentbark. Dreampetal could drop cost of big minion in hand it’s such a big removal target usually only lives one turn anyway, and a 1/1 tyrantus when dies can come back through witching hour. That’s a rather overlapping combo and long as keep beast cards to minimum it’s somewhat viable as a strategy. Just need to work out early and midgame plan and it’s useable. Would require limiting to cards that aren’t that bad if pulled by jepetto.
This having Taunt might make it actually playable, but it could also be too slow. Very difficult to evaluate.
4/8 taunt are stats you’d normally expect on a 6-drop; it’s similar to the 5/7 stats of Dark Arakkoa and to the 3/8 stats of Ancient of Blossoms. At 8 mana, this is overcosted if you just consider the minion’s base stats.
Coming back to life at full strength for casting Crystal Power (or other such effects) is obviously this minion’s main draw, but how good is it? Contrary to popular belief, Polymorph and Hex are NOT the hardest counters to this; the hardest counters are Mind Control and Lazul’s scheme + Cabal Shadow Priest- that can end the game right there and then. Polymorph, Hex and Silence are also strong counters, however.
The main draw of this guy is that he’s very resilient to most forms of removal (the ones that destroy a minion). However, its high mana cost, no immediate board impact, weakness to certain effects (especially mind control) and uselessness vs. combo decks, makes me think that it’s not going to see play unless it gets significantly more support. 2/5
He is taunt so there is some board impact.
Yeah, I guess that’s fair to say; your opponent needs to deal with it, and sometimes the way to deal with it will be really painful (smashing a bunch of minions into it ‘till it becomes dormant).
I guess what I was trying to say is that you’re not getting any sort of guaranteed value out of it- if it gets dealt with cleanly, it’s a huge tempo loss, whereas a Primordial Drake at least does its AoE damage, the Lich King at least gives you a Death Knight card, and so on.
looks cool
Restore 5 heath to any target or to your hero ? The 5 heath restored must be to the same target, or could be split between several targets ?
Restore 5 health to any target. And I would assume it could be split
I also believe it can be done over multiple turns, like the spell stones
Same as spellstones.
It looks like the 5 health can be distributed over the course of many turns, making the resurrection easier
Nice solid card for heal druid archetype. And that artwork is awesome. I am excited to try the new heal druid.
nice card . i am very excited to play druid. still hoping a good lifesteal druid minion or a good spell to compliment heal druid archetype.
Polymorph
That’s why you clone it
Heal Druid incoming!!!!!!!
Holy smokes!!!!!. So Druid finding a new identity? Switching from armor to heal and from control to some aggressive stlye with Token and Rush? I Like! So Wardruid Loti will fit in that style very well!
druid could build up faster and better armor in the past than the warrior ever could, and now I suspect druid will be the better healclass class than priest
Druid is like an asian. There is always one better then you. 😀
