Outside of the hilarious synergy with blackguard in wild, this card is absolute trash. 2 mana + a card for . . . lifesteal? That’s it? I don’t even think such an effect would be playable at 0 mana, even with the twinspell tag; the effect is just awful. 2 mana give a minion a situational keyword is utterly worthless; unless another blackguard (or some other ridiculous lifesteal synergy) is printed, this card will never see play in standard.
This card is an good example of a card that is way specific: lifegain in this form is great versus aggro but only okish vs midrange and completely worthless vs combo/control so that the card in general is not playable or only in very aggressive metas
Could be useful in a pinch. We’ll see.
This card has so many fun options to try. Pyromancer, glass knight, and immortal prelate all want this card. Nice to know you can put “4” in your deck as well. 3.5/5
Haha more healadin support now you really wanna pull the Lego in opening plop one of these on the 4 cost after heal enough and enjoy. Can also combo it with a new challenger to get a divine shield taunt life steal.
Not exactly too sure how much I like this, but Rest Assured that Amani War Bear with this would become a “Control Version of Zilliax” in a way, and that’s pretty good. You can put this with Jungle Panther for Zoo Healadin and it can work pretty well. Reckless Rocketeer isn’t half bad idea. I’d say that you actually got some breathing room with this. It’s not bad.
Needs testing
Yes.
I don’t think that the support for lightforged blessing is obvious. Also, we don’t quite know how twinspell plays…
(Rating based on play it will see in the upcoming meta, similar to trump’s ratings)
2 Stars
4 mana combo with pyromancer for a worse spirit lash in paladin.
Makes immortal prelate a true minion version of old kingsbane, but with spike ridged steed going out, its probably not going to be very viable.
On average its like potion of heroism, except it draws a bad-mediocre card instead.
2 Stars, will see light experimentation in an immortal prelate deck, mostly niche play.
I needed something to make Immortal Prelate (even) more relevant. This seems to do it. I like it. (And yes, I like Prelate. That it CAN be silenced doesn’t always mean it will be.)
It has so much “little combo” potential, like with Glass Knight, Kangor, rush minions, Baron Geddon… I somehow feel like it’ll find a home. I’d say the biggest “nah” factor is that Paladin has excellent healing both mid game (Flash of Light), lategame burst healing (Shirvallah + Kangor), and anti-burst tools (Time Out) that this simply becomes irrelevant.
Lightforged Blessing really could have been okay at one mana. Sure, the Twinspell aspect of the card does mean it needs to be more expensive, but much of the time granting basic keyword effects to minions really isn’t that valuable.
At two mana, I have a hard time seeing this will see much play while Flash of Light and Zilliax are Standard legal.
Did you consider the wild combo with the Blackguard? It could be preety nuts and also not that difficult to achieve.
I hope this will make Healadin a thing at least in wild, even because I tried out one version with the Molten Giants and other wild cards and it wasn’t that bad actually.
Even in its best case, you’re only going to deal twenty-nine damage to MINIONS, not the opposing hero, making it into an eight or ten mana Equality-Consecration combo. Additionally, the Anyfin Can Happen combo is both more reliable and can win games.
You are right, but to me it seems preety much devastating to deal massive amount of damage to aggro or midrange boards, not taking into account that it always restores your hero back to full.
In order to get the combo done in one turn, you’ll need ten mana, this, Blackgaurd, and Flash of Light preferably or a Blackgaurd that can attack, your opponent to have a decent board of at least five minions, and to be at relatively low health likely through Threkal. Such a conditional combo that doesn’t win the game outright isn’t going to be good in a format as extreme as Wild.
For full heals too, Paladin would probably be better off finding a way to abuse Crystalsmith Kangor and Shirvalla.
In Wild, if an aggressive deck hasn’t killed you by turn ten, you already won, and Midrange strategies aren’t really heard of that often in the format.
I proposed this combo not for creating a deck based around that, but just as a nice option for the already existing healadin archetype. Of course, now there is none playing it in Wild, then I’ll be the only one to try it out, but I think it might work.
not that great of a card but considering its rarity its not a big deal if it does not work. The lealing is not that reliable. Because its just a win more card. If you can make a minion stick you are most likely winning. So this is basicly useless. It can help you heal whitch is not bad.
It can synergize well with the glass knight. If you put it on the glass knight you have a minion that gets bubble every time it attacks for un immune to combat minion :D.
Its cost is a bit high. for a simple healing effect. we have cards like evilve. that affects the whole board for 1 mana or devolve that affects the whole board for 2. I can see this being 0 mana ans still have the same effect without breaking the game ( exept in wild 😀 Giving 0 mana spells to paladin will make OTk pala even more unstopable so paladins will probably never ever have descent 1 mana spells.
I don’t see how this is win more? Life gain effects slow down more aggressive decks.
Also, there will be a lifegain payoff in standard, and a spell payoff too.
As for the cost, I think 2 feels high, but echo cards are about as steep, and I think that the mechanics are fairly similar.
Very strong against burn decks. This heals you, then demands removal from your opponent- twice. Control Paladin will likely want this. 3/5
This will be busted in wild. Turn 3, High Priest Thekal with two 0 mana Mountain Giants. Turn 4, cast this on giants and heal for 16 each turn until they are removed.
you do not want to ruin your synergy that much if you get the 2 giants with the priest on turn 3 you win anyway. And you actually do not lose any health. Do not forget that you are probably some sort of aggro deck with this package. Although all paladins use it/
what if we cast this spell on `Blackguard` and get some heal ?
will this spell make `Blackguard` become a strong board clear combo ?
(in case of we have low health)
** goodbye blackguard **
Immortal prelate was looking for a way to gain lifesteal. This is like Kingbane rogue all over again. Otherwise, not great.
This good for Immortal Prelate, probably bad for everything else.
Healpally incoming! ControlPally staying in meta?
