Mulligans

General Mulligans

You're never sad to see a firefly of course. It helps you kill most creatures up to four drops that matter and gives you another elemental to work with. Daring Fire-Eater is safe to keep early as you can always hold it until mid-late as you can combo it with a clockwork for 8 damage.

Aggro Mulligans

Stonehill Defender provides a small amount of defense versus aggressive decks and puts a dent into 3 health minions to hero power down later. Zilliax just helps to stabilize against more aggressive decks.

Midrange Mulligans

It really depends on which midrange deck you run into. If it's spell hunter, obviously Explosive Runes is a dead card.

Combo Mulligans

Against combo, early pressure is a must. Most combo decks rely on some amount of creatures to set up, at which point, you're picking them off with your hero power and explosive runes.

Control Mulligans

A well timed counterspell against most aoe heavy decks is great to have. Otherwise you just need early pressure and card advantage.

This deck aims to pull of great tempo plays early while having some burst potential in the mid to late game.

As the amount of damage spells is limited to mostly AoE and Explosive Runes, Leeroy offers some great utility burst as well as nice synergy with Frost Lich Jaina. Zola + Leeroy or Jan’alai gives you huge amounts of damage to finish off the opponent while stacking automatons and fire-eaters gives you consistent removal options, while zilliax and the stone hill package gives you survival against spell hunter.

Alexstrasza is played mostly against the healing decks and for finishing the opponent when another mage plays Jaina and has healed to full.
