“Galaxy Aligner” Mage  — guide by TinSonSay

Mulligan:

– The cards to really look for are Acolyte of Pain, Luna’s Pocket Galaxy, and Stargazer Luna. Getting to the Pocket Galaxy should be your top concern as it unlocks the full potential of this deck.

Gameplay:

– Charged Devilsaur: this deck features two alternate OTK’s. The first being discounted Charged Devilsaurs with Carnivorous Cubes, which has limited damage potential. For matchups where this damage isn’t enough, there’s Mecha’thun plus Voodoo Doll.

– Luna’s Pocket Galaxy: discounting the minions in this deck to 1 mana makes some powerful things possible. In addition to the aforementioned OTK combos, the deck packs a strong Star Aligner package. With Star Aligner costing 1 mana it becomes much easier to pull off his powerful battlecry multiple times in the same turn.

Pitfalls:

As always in my deck deck guides, I like to point out some of the pitfalls of the deck. By pitfalls I mean the ways for the deck to really fail at what it’s intended to do. These are things to watch out for…

– Drawing all your spells before playing Spiteful renders Spiteful’s battlecry useless.

– The deck doesn’t recover very well if it doesn’t draw Frost Lich Jaina. Keep this in mind, when playing against faster opponents.
