“Big Deathrattle” Rogue  — guide by TinSonSay

Mulligan:

– The cards to really look for are Bright-Eyed Scout, Devilsaur Egg, and Necrium Blade. These cards are crucial for cheating larger threats out early.

– If you assume your opponent is aggro, keep Doomsayer.

Gameplay:

– Bright eyed scout: this deck has plenty of positive targets for the scout’s mana reduction to hit. Of these targets, drawing Oakheart and reducing Oakheart’s cost to 5 is usually the best route to a huge board.

– Doomsayer: fighting for the board early is something this deck can struggle with, so finding proactive uses for Doomsayer is very important. You can be very aggressive when doing so. I found success throwing him down onto boards which didn’t seem that menacing yet, that way on the following turn the doomsayer would not only be more difficult to clear but has a good chance of keeping them from adding to the board as well.

– Silver Vanguard: the Vanguard’s deathrattle is very potent in this deck. The deck packs 8-drop taunt minions in the form of Lich King and Primordial Drakes, as well as powerful on board effects like Grand Archivist’s end of turn ability.

Pitfalls:

As always in my deck deck guides, I like to point out some of the pitfalls of the deck. By pitfalls I mean the ways for the deck to really fail at what it’s intended to do. These are things to watch out for…

– Drawing Oakheart combo pieces before playing Oakheart severely inhibits the combo.

– Be cautious of which dragons are left in the deck, you don’t want Dragonhatcher to whiff.

– This deck often ends up playing from behind. It’s optimized to do so, but be ready
