Meme card, yeah, a big meme, is one of those cards i take a screenshot, show it to some friends and say “hey did you have this kind of stup-endous cards in you edgy serius tcg?”.
Meme / MEMES is my rating.
This should have been mill 8 cards from each players deck..
A perfect thanos card would be destroy half of all minions, wherever they are. but this is close enough i guess
And still the joke will probably be aboud voiding contracts.
All I see is this
Oops cut self off what was going to say is this would have been a better card in priest decks in fact worst case scenario is I’d your a warlock with this and priest copies it.
Play benedictus right after this and your opponent on a timer till burn. Even a good card for a thief rogue due to academic espionage.
All saying is ATM there’s no obvious deck.
After three weeks I can’t see any synergy between this card and the entire of hearthstone.
but if blizzard made this purposely I’m not complaining.
Against a combo deck it’s an eight mana suicide.
I’m imagining a deck with baleful bankers, the warlock loa, augmented eelek, omega agents, hand buff tools and this card. Demolishing decks, reloading yours. Probably won’t be super competitive but it should be fun.
This card is pretty bad but I love it anyway. For the memes!
This card purely exists for the situation where combo decks get too strong. Otherwise its bad.
Giving it 5 stars not because its good, but because its the kind of card that needs to exist, as I feel that this sort card is good for the health of the game.
5/5 for a situation that *might* happen, in which a form of a deck that this *might* counter, *might* get out of hand.
That’s generous.
People already hated discarding randomly from their hand. Now they made a card that mills randomly from your deck.
Blood magic and any combo deck is dead
Well. Nice to know I won’t need new cards for Even Warlock. This is payback for the Cube Meta.
Can someone explain these Thanos jokes to me?
You know how Thanos wants to wipe out half the life in the universe, and has memeable quotes such as “Perfectly balanced, as all things should be”?
Anything that has anything to do with halving things is now a Thanos reference, bonus points if it’s a symmetrical effect.
It’s fun to absolutely destroy combo decks. Besides that, I can’t see how good this is; Warlock doesn’t have really any shuffle synergies (outside of Baleful Banker, which is optimistic at best), so you can’t win the fatigue game really outside of Gnomeferatu mill and DK hero power.
Also need to keep in mind whether the opponent already has their combo or not. If they already have combo in hand (say Druid with plenty of ramp and 4-mana “Draw your combo”), then it’s pretty useless.
All in all, an EXTREMELY situational card. Idk, there’s probably going to be some sort of wacky Togwaggle deck I forgot to mention somewhere in there. But meh.
Honestly I’m kinda disappointed they didn’t opt for “Discard half of each player’s deck”. Woulda been a lot more interesting in terms of bing a late-game swing for Discolock, and actually might have given the card a use outside of combo-breaking. Idk, I’m probably missing some broken discard synergy somewhere in there, but considering how most of the broken schtuff is in wild, I wouldn’t be sad to have Discolock be a viable alternative.
Unfortunately, we have neither Tournament mode, nor sideboarding in HS. I hope we’ll get a viable neutral combo breaker this expansion and rate this card 1 out of 5.
My eyes. My poor, poor eyes.
8 mana do-nothing.
8 mana worse-than-demonic-project.
8 mana worse-than-rin.
8 mana destroy your hero.
nice combo breaker
I like it.
Excellent joke incoming

OH NO I JUST SAW THE POST TWO HOURS EARKY THAT MADE THIS JOKE
OH NO I JUST SAW THE POST TWO HOURS EARLIER THAT MADE THIS JOKE
MY COMEDY CAREER IS RUINED
There was nothing to be ruined tough
Pour salt over the wound why don’t you
This card is either going to be the most useful card in your deck or completely not worth playing. It can kill combo decks, but those decks already want to churn through their decks as fast as possible already.
However, in any other match-up, it’s eight mana, do nothing. Aggressive decks won’t care and will likely win the next turn, Midrange and Tempo decks will just play through it, and Control decks might just appreciate knowing the game is going to end after thirty minutes instead of a full hour.
I will insta-craft this card if the flavour text is, “Thanos Card! Thanos Card!”
Aw, someone beat me to Thanos Click.
Also, I don’t like these control “instant win against combo” cards. Demonic Project and Gnomeferatu were bad enough, winning games on turn 2 and tilting many players.
But this one also hurts you. In a control matchup, you want to savor your cards. Demonic Project you can wait to play and destroy the combo without risk. This will see no play.
Idk if that is the case here
Demonic Project is this rotation’s equivalent to Dirty Rat, a tech against decks that depend on specific minions, with a severe penalty for playing it the wrong turn (Dirty Rat would summon a stronger minion than you could deal with and Demonic project removes one important minion from your hand) while both have the chance of getting the wrong minion, thus requiring them to be played in the right moment
Gnomferatu and this card are not like that exactly, Gnomferatu is just a decent 2 drop with the chance of burning an important card, the high number of combo decks nowadays gets Warlock to use it because of the high chance it has of burning an important card, by itself it is not a good card for that purpose and it is only used, again, because of the high number, were this not the case and were it similar to previous metas with strong combo cards that relied on less key cards and weren’t many in total, it wouldn’t see play, as it didn’t when it came out
This card however I agree won’t see play, if you want to get rid of your opponent’s deck you might as well wait for Azari, and it is too slow and too much of a backlash for you to be used as tech against combo, this’d only see play on a deck that benefits for milling the deck, like Mecha’Thun
Look at any one of the most recent “Hearthstone Daily” videos. IT is almost guaranteed it will include a game where someone used Gnomeferatu turn 2 to get a free win on a shudderwock shaman.
Yeah, because we have hundreds of games being played all the time so you are bound to get a good discard from her at one point
but it is stil at worst (played first turn with coin) a 1/26 chance of burning the exact card you need to burn, and every turn that passes and every card the opponent draws, the chances get higher, but so does the chance that the opponent draws it, and then you have no way to interact with it be it not Demonic Project, that’s why that specific card is used as the tech and Gnomferatu is just a support and a decent 2-drop witha decent battlecry (also since the opponent is playing a combo deck, they’ll be making sure to draw as much as they can wich just makes it harder to play her and get a good result)
Gnomeferatu isn’t especially good against combo because the chance to kill, say, malygos with it is 1/30 and that’s it. It’s better in control mirrors that end up in fatigue, where it both kills a card and makes you win fatigue.
I’m sick of these “instant win against control decks” combos. So yeah.
Turn 2 bloodbloom insta concede
It’s rotating out when this comes out but could still be used in wild
It’s not rotating out yet. Rotation happens on the release of the first expansion of each year.
This card remembers me the projects cards from boomsday. The only reason why demonic project saw some play is that is just 2 mana for a possible combo breaker. This card is surely decent against combo decks, and even there if they drew their combo cards before or if you are not lucky you just make it easier to them to draw the remaining cards and kill you. In a control matchup is just bad because it affects both players and then is just 8 mana for nothing. I don’t know, this just seems bad.
C-c-combo brrrrreaker!
Very useful for Mechathun and to Counter Combo Decks.
come on man. mechactun ? u crazy ? u need x2 galvanizer. + mechactun + bloodbloom + catalsym. so many cards u need to draw your hand and u re free to play this one. almost impossible
One With Nothing : Hearthstone Edition
Your guess as to what it does is as good as mine.
Add twisting nether effect to this cards and became good. 0/5
Helps out Mechathun Warlock, I guess?
not really… at least you need to draw all your combo pieces before you can play it
Wait, this just destroys combo decks
Well, whatever they havent drawn by turn 8 so maybe not
Thanos Snap.
