Fireworks Tech Card Review
This card has a very specific niche, it can basically be played only in Hunter Mech decks with Mech Deathrattle cards. It doesn’t make any sense to run it anywhere else. In regular deck, it will most likely be a 2 mana 2/1 without an effect. If you run it in a Mech deck WITHOUT Deathrattles, then you might just as well play Fallen Sun Cleric, it’s more flexible. But in its specific niche, it can be pretty powerful.
If you hit a Mech, it’s technically a 3/2 minion, so it has a solid stat-line. Triggering Deathrattle is also a very powerful effect. All in all, it can be compared to a less flexible Terrorscale Stalker. Which still makes it a great card, as Stalker is almost broken in the right deck. If you build a Deathrattle Mech deck you want to play both anyway.
Ideally, it would be nice to have another 1-drop Mech with Deathrattle that isn’t a Goblin Bomb, because Bomb is pretty bad to be honest. But even without it, it already has some solid synergies – e.g. triggering Spider Bomb to immediately clear a minion. You can also combo it with Mechanical Whelp to get a massive 7/7 minion on top of the buff. Cool stuff. But since Terrorscale Stalker is already a thing (and can do pretty much the same thing as this card and more), I think that people are overhyping it a bit.
Card rating: 7/10
I am not sure if this card is worth 4.6/5 stars like it currently has because terrorstalk wasn’t ran in lot of hunter decks.
Great but not outstanding in mech hunter. Wont be used in anything else.
3/5 stars
I mean. What do you want it to be used on?mech Warrior?Beast Hunter?
Hey, it’s the set’s best girl!
You overuse the word technically when really you mean practically. Technically, it’s a 2/1 minion no matter what. Practically, it’s a 3/2 minion if you trigger the buff.
Give hunter mechs because we dont ever want to give hunter a true identity that actually makes sense.
Yes hello let’s make cube hunter
m o r e c o n s I s t a n t
Ah I see it’s mechs only well I mean there’s always spider bomb
Laughs in goblin bomb
Deathrattle Mech + Magnetic death rattle minion = multiple deathrattle?
Well now goblin bomb doesn’t look so bad.
Could work well with Weaponized Pinata too!
It still looks bad, to be honest.
I found three pretty broken synergies, one of which in wild: Sneed’s (and maybe Explosive Sheep, if there’s a wild Control mech deck without Play Dead). Beyond that, the new expansion brings Mechanical Whelp and Spider Bomb. The other Deathrattle Mechs don’t really affect the current board state at all and are generally bad with this card. That being said, the buff alone makes this card equal to Fallen Sun Cleric in a mech deck, along with a couple cool synergies on top of that. Not too shabby of a card.
Dane is laughing in his Reno deathrattle hunter shenanigans
Harvest golem synergy is going to break the Meta. Haha!
Obviously a Deathrattle Mech Hunter deck would want to play this. It buffs a minion already on board and it’s Battlecry functionally becomes whatever the Deathrattle of the mech it buffed.
The stat line is functionally a two mana 3/2, similar to Crackling Razormaw. However, you can usually play Razormaw on curve since the Adaptation comes with the card rather than needing a good mech Deathrattle already on board to get the full value out of the card.
Not to say this will be a sort of weak link in the deck. If played late on a Mech that has had Spider Bomb magnetized to it along with it’s own deathrattle, it can be extremely powerful and swing games.
T1 Goblin Bomb, T2 this — New Face Hunter! Amirite or whut?!?
Obviously it’ll depend on how viable a Hunter Mech shell is… but I think this has got some degree of flexibility going for it. Early game, if you know you’re going to be the aggressor, it’s 3/2 worth of stats (if you’ve got a mech on the board) for 2 mana – which is OK, not earth shattering or anything.
But later it might not be a terrible top deck, you might still be able to get some use out of it, and it has synergy with every Hunter card revealed so far.
In Wild though, with things like Piloted Shredder, Sky Golem and Sneed’s Old Shredder… this could be really good – might even be worth including Rivendare.
I think this could get reaaly powerful with mechs like spider bomb and mechanical whelp.
For 8 mana you get 12/11 worth of stats plus deathrattle sommon a 7/7 minion
Hey, Goblin bomb synergy! Although if I can choose the perfect curve, I’d still choose Dire Mole + Crackling Razormaw over this. This triggers a Deathrattle, so I can’t underestimate it. But it doesn’t look like a 2-drop that will snowball. 1 health is also terribly week to pings. Looks more like a mid/late game card than a 2-drop. 2.5/5 stars, I can slot it in my Mech Hunter.
my question is, is the second line of the effect really have to be a mech with deathrattle?
You won’t be able to target Non-Mechs
nvm
Might be good with new Hunter legendary.
