hi,i’m italian….it’s a cool budget competitive deck??
Great comment Chiskle…+1
Playing this deck on ranked (hovering between 8-9), I’ve found that I always lose to control–particularly control Mage, Priest, Shaman, Handlock, Warrior. Furthermore, I lose to combo Druid and Mech Mage (usually to secrets). It does, however, perform well against face hunter and Grim Patron Warrior, and pretty well against zoo-lock. I’ve tried addressing some of the deck’s weaknesses: two drops and removal.
There’s a pesky two drop issue. I do not play with Knife Juggler, like others have said it doesn’t make a splash enough to warrant it. I tried Wild Pyromancer, but there aren’t enough spells to make it work. I have also dabbled in Shadow Boxer with better results (I just love the little guy anyway). For a while I included two Loot Horders but found I was burning through the deck too quickly. However, I do think the deck worked best when drawing early so I may consider putting them back.
For removal I also added another Holy Nova for both healing and mid game tempo shifts. I dropped Kabal Shadow Priest and Shadow Madness, both were too conditional and usually ineffective. I like having one Holy Smite to target opponent’s Knife Juggler or other high value targets; smite also synergizes with spell damage buffs from Velen’s and Azure Drake. I include VolJin, he can really help with breaking through taunts or Giants, and offers another target for Smite.
I want to believe in this deck, partly because I’m a huge fan of everything Kripparrian and partly because I want to make dragons work. For the most part I have to say that it isn’t performing well enough to continue with it for long. Maybe my deck changes have caused this, or more likely, dragons are too middling a class to carry the day.
But we should all dare to be great and never play as Face Hunter ever. I still have hope!
I totally agree man
I’ve added a Lightbomb instead of Cabal Shadow Priest. You just don’t need her in this deck IMO. I have one Knife Juggler and one Shadow Boxer. Although I believe Shadow Boxer has better synergy with this deck due to healing. But I put in both to cover as many situations as possible.
I’ve also added Mass Dispel instead of Shadow Madness. I find that, for a 4 drop, it helps to add some sort of “removal” which this deck lacks. Again, its not exactly a removal but can be helpful to negate taunts and other card buffs.
So the difference from Kripp’s deck and mine:
-1 Knife Juggler +1 Shadow Boxer
-1 Shadow Madnes +1 Mass Dispel
-1 Cabal Shadow Priest +1 Lightbomb
With a lot of new dragon cards coming in TGT it will be interesting to see if this deck becomes more relevant again.
Swap juggler for Ooze for sick combos with buffs. Swap a technician for Owl or SW:D
I’ve been playing this deck most of the day. It is very consistent. Have only lost to one thing… The mirror (or some form of dragon priest). And I contributed to losing with a big misplay. I find the need for removal isn’t really there. You can control the board with your own creatures. I really don’t feel a need for Knife Juggler so he could be easily swapped out for a little removal if you would feel more comfortable having the option. I feel like Knife Juggler only got 2-3 damage per game. Not worth the deck slot IMO.
I wonder why injured blademaster is not in it but i guess he requires to much manageme nt the healing and what not
You can swap in a few removals and play it as midrange
This deck is weak. Removal is almost completely absent, so if you lose board control for a single turn you lose
Like all the other Aggro deck ….
