With the current prevalence of Pirate Warrior, swapping in Mistress of Mixtures for Small-time Buccaneer is probably a good idea.
Why no Leeroy?
Thijs made a really good case for Southsea Deckhand instead of Leeroy before the expansion came out. I found the deckhand to be a lot more consistent and mana efficient than Leeroy, especially with getting in your cold blood + conceal combo and also allows you to buff your questing adventurers a little more easily.
I would probably swap out a Small-Time Buccaneer for one Southsea Deckhand.
I was playing it today and the Counterfeit Coin works perfectly with Questing Adventurer. I don’t know if Malygos Rogue wants Counterfeit Coin, but Miracle Rogue absolutely does.
So true. I don’t have Edwin Van Cleef, so I use Ragnaros and counterfeit coin really makes those plays easier. Other than priest, not many have a solution for a 13/9 questing adventurer followed up with a rag and then a concealed. Even Mage struggles, (polymorph isn’t main decked the way it once was). Freeze Mage is particularly susceptible
Red Mana worm might be an even better sub for Edwin Van Cleef, as it synergizes with the spells buffing it’s attack damage +2. Might even be better than Van Cleep if you have the conceal to ensure it lives to attack the following turn.
