Experimental: The deck should be considered a work in progress.
Priest got a bit of Dragon synergy in the Grand Tournament. Wyrmrest Agent is a solid 2 drop, which is something Priest has desperately needed. Twilight Guardian can help get you into the late game where you will be hard to kill if you can get Justicar Trueheart on the board and a four health healing Hero Power every turn. Chillmaw and Nefarian round out your big dragons!
much to slow. no chance against aggro decks.
Doesn’t sound like you’ve actually tried it. Flash heal, Holy Nova, Wymrest Agent and Twlight Whelps/Guardians pretty much handles anything early. Curved out 6 drop Chillmaw pretty much seals the game against aggro decks. Chillmaw also hands Patron Warrior. The endgame win is actually Soulpriest with buffed hero power. Its quite an innovative deck.
did 5 games – lost 4 against aggro between turn 5-7
won against an other slow priest deck.
my conclusion: if ure starting hand isnt optimal against aggro youre lost…
I think thats every deck vs aggro though. If you get all your late cards, aggro decks will blow you up by turn 5.
Accidentally rated down rather than up. Anyway i have tried this deck out but i am missing trueheart, what should i replace it with?
(atm i have nexus champ instead).
i´m playing a deck that pretty much looks alike, but i only play 1 lightbomb, 1 Holy Fire and instead of nefarian and Chillmaw i´m playing alextrasa and good ol´ysera, works well for me, alextrasa is pretty usefull against face hunter or Zoo
It may be a little spell heavy but if you can get a good flow it works really well.
I did switch out the lightbombs with holy fire just because i don’t have any lightbombs. Still helps me clear out annoying taunts.
Made this deck to test it out and so far it has worked pretty well. Won 10 out of 12 games with it. Not sure how it’d hold up vs aggro. Which is nice i was always looking for a dragon deck.
